Monalisa Chinda is a Nigerian actress, Film Producer and Media Personality. She was born in Port Harcourt, Rivers State to an Ikwerre father and an Igbo Mother. She was raised in Port Harcourt where she had all her education including her tertiary education. She graduated from the University of Port Harcourt with a Bachelors’ Degree in Theatre Arts.

When she was still an undergraduate, she landed her first movie role in the 1996 film Pregnant Virgin. However, she came into limelight in 2007 when she got the spot for a regular feature in the Television soap Heaven’s Gate.

Her debut as an Executive Producer was in the Royal Arts Academy Movie Kiss & Tell which had renowned Filmmaker Emem Isong as a co-producer with her. She is also a consultant with Royal Arts Academy, which is a media school with a focus for breeding fresh talent in acting, directing and screenwriting.

Her contribution to Media is also well known as she maintains a column called Monalisa Code in the Saturday edition of The Sun Newspapers, where she writes on social issues and relationships. She also started a talk show titled ‘You & I with Monalisa’ in 2014 which is aired on AIT and TVC.
