Nadia Buari is a Ghanaian actress. Buari was born in Takoradi, Ghana to a Ghanaian mother and Lebanese father. Throughout her school life, she was actively involved in school drama and dance clubs, from there, she went on to study Performing Arts at the University of Ghana.

Buari premiered on Ghanaian national television with the TV series Games People Play in late 2005. It got her nominated for a ‘Best Actress’ award. Her first major film was Mummy’s Daughter, after which she starred in Beyonce: The President’s Daughter. Her role as Beyonce was her major breakthrough. In 2013, she came out with her own movie called The Diary of Imogen Brown.

Buari moved from acting just Ghanaian films to Nigerian films around the year 2008. Her breakthrough role in Nollywood was in the film Beyonce & Rihanna starring as Beyonce alongside Nigerian actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde who played Rihanna. The film became very popular to both Ghanaian and Nigerian audience. Her other notable Nollywood films include Rough Rider, Beauty and the Beast, Single and Married and Holding Hope.

She has received numerous nominations and awards such as ‘Special Recognition’ award at the 2013 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards and a ‘Pan African Actress’ award at the 2013 Nigerian Entertainment Awards.
